Hey everyone, it's me again. Just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still here and the next part of my Pokemon fanfiction is on its way.

I also wanted to express my opinion about something. Many of you pokemon fans who read my story are probably wondering why I paired Ash and Misty together. Well rest assured that I do have a go reason for it.

First off, out of all three main female characters on the show, Misty has traveled with Ash the longest. If you go by seasons, you'll notice that she was there for a total of 5. May comes close, but falls short at 4, and so far, Dawn has only been there for 2-3(I'm counting JP episodes and who knows exactly when season 11 will finsh in the US).

Now for my second point. I don't know if you've noticed this, but the entire Pokemon sieres has been very vuage about its timeline. We all know that Ash began his journey shortly after his tenth birthday. And, to be a trainer herself, Misty would have had to have been roughly the same age.

Now, the only real refrence to a timeline within the course of the anime occured during the first season when Ash and his friends returned to Viridian City so he could earn his final badge. In the begining of the episode, Ash clearly stated that it had been a full year sense they had last been there, and sense Viridian City was the first place Ash had reached during his journey, it can be asumed that both he and Misty were now 11 years old.

As for the rest of the timeframe, its a bit tricky to tell exactly how much time has pasted sense the begining of the anime. For one thing, It is unclear excatly how long a trainer or a coordinator has to collect the required number of badges or ribbons they need before the competition of the region they're in takes place. That being said, It is unkown exactly how much time pasted durning the parts of the anime that requred multiple seasons to get thru, such as the johto or hoenn leauge sagas. Therefore, I would like to present my vision of the Pokemon anime timeline.

Kanto leauge

Now you see where I'm going with this. In addition to being Ash's closest friend, Misty is also more or less the same age as him. May and Dawn are good friends, but I think they're a little too young for him (besides, I think May has a thing for Drew, anyway).
